DISASTER RECOVERY

 

AIA Engineers, Ltd. provides a full range of surveying, scoping, and estimating services for disaster recovery projects to assess damage after disasters such as hurricanes.  AIA maintains multiple in-house field assessment crews that are experienced in all aspects of disaster assessment including: buildings, housing, foundations, drainage, roadways, bridges, water and waste water treatment plants, electrical, and more. Most recently:

ORCA - Planning & Assessment for Hurricane Ike Damage in Texas Coastal Counties

AIA Engineers has spent several months working with the Office of Rural Community Affairs (ORCA) and its many coastal communities providing engineering services relating to the planning and assessment in connection with the planning, development, redevelopment, and revitalization of non-entitlement Southeast / Coastal Texas areas to address damage sustained as a result of Hurricane Ike.

 

To date, AIA has performed the following tasks: Initial field assessments of approximately 300 different drainage, waste water treatment plants, water treatment plants and roadway projects in various Ike affected Counties across the Texas Gulf Coast. Estimation and scoping of several drainage projects include restoration of sand dunes and beach including habitat at Jamaica Beach in Galveston County and other similar projects. Additional duties include Quality control and Quality assurance of the field data and the scoping and estimation received for bridges, buildings, roadways, drainage, water and wastewater treatment plants, electrical, water and wastewater transmission; as well as Scoping and estimation for bridges, roadways, water and wastewater treatment plants, electrical, water and wastewater transmission.
