STATION REHABILITATION DESIGN AND IMPROVEMENTS, NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Location survey at
PENN STATION in New York City for NJ Transit. This project entailed
locating topographic features on four levels, from street level
to track level below AMTRAK and tying the different levels together.
Work included locating rail tracks, third rails, train platforms,
stairs, escalators, elevators, stores, utilities (both in the pipe
corridor and under the platforms), floor and ceiling elevations,
concourses and structural members. This information, compiled and
prepared on Auto-Cadd was used to develop plans and specifications
for the rehab ilitation design and concourse improvements including
a new station entrance on Seventh Avenue.
WEST
SHORE LINE EVALUATION STUDY - HUDSON & BERGEN COUNTIES, NJ,
ROCKLAND COUNTY , NY
Field survey, property boundary analysis and
mapping for the West Shore Line Evaluation Study in northeastern
New Jersey and southeastern New York for NJ Transit. Project entails
field surveys for selected design data collection involving bridges,
drainage and railroad appurtenances, compiling information for a
utility easement study and report, preparation of drawings and conceptual
cost estimates.
RAIL
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE FACILITY, KEARNY, NJ
Contract surveyors for the construction of major railroad maintenance
facility for NJ Transit. Work entailed the establishment of survey
controls and baselines, the layout of the railroad maintenance building,
the locomotive roundhouse, a passerell and various appurtenances.
We also laid out and monitored the piles during pile driving operations,
performed the check survey for the anchor bolts and steel location,
monitoring for settlement of the locomotive roundhouse building
during the construction project.
WAYNE
TOWNSHIP PARA-TRANSIT FACILITY, WAYNE, NJ
Design of the conversion of the former NIKE missile site into a
bus depot and maintenance facilities to be shared by the Wayne Township
Public Schools and Passaic County. Project involved soils and geotechnical
engineering, including the use of ground penetrating radar to locate
underground missile silos and bunkers, facilities planning, drainage,
survey and structural engineering.

NORTH RAILROAD PARKING EXPANSION PROGRAM, WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY
Topographic and boundary survey for the design of improvements to
the parking facilities at the Crestwood, Croton Falls and Purdys
railroad stations in Westchester County, NY.

NORTH RAILROAD, LOWER HUDSON LINE, TARRYTOWN, NEW YORK
Construction layout for railroad and station
improvements in Westchester County, New York for the installation
of retaining walls, storm drainage, sanitary sewer systems, jacking
pits and other construction related activities.

LEVEL PLATFORMS, NORTH JERSEY COAST LINE AND RARITAN LINE, NEW JERSEY
Soils and geotechnical engineering for the
design of 13 NJ Transit Stations to provide for conformance with
ADA and the design of high level platforms and associated
appurtenances for these stations.

Bound ary survey, topographic survey, wetlands
delineation and environmental assessment for the purchase of additional
property for parking facilities at No. Hackens ack Station. Boundary

Construction Inspection services for the Rehabilitation
of Bridge HU32.81 over the Croton River in Croton-on-Hudson, NY
and the Rehabilitation of the Marble Hill Seawall located in the
Bronx at MP 9.5 on the Hudson Line. Work on the Croton River Bridge
also includ es the construction of a 680 ft. High Level Platform
extension at the Croton-Harmon Station and the replacement of a
bearing and pedestal at Bridge HA48.21 in Croton Falls, NY.
