AIA Engineers, Ltd. offers a
full range of engineering capabilities for innovative drainage designs. AIA's
capabilities include bridge deck drainage, complete design of storm sewer
systems with roadside curb and gutter, inlets, catch basins, stormwater management
for water quality and quantity, designs for erosion and sediment control, and
selection and utilization of stormwater outfall. Our in-house highway and
structural engineers are also integral members of our drainage design team. AIA
provides state-of-the-art analysis capabilities using computer modeling as
appropriate. Numerous water resources related models are available in our
software bank, including EPA-SWMM, COE-HEC 1, HEC 2, USGS-WSPRO, SCS-TR20,
TR55, KYPIPE, POND-PACK, and WASP4.
Bridge
hydrology and hydraulics, river mechanics, scour potential estimation, and
retrofit designs to combat scour are AIA's
specialty. In analyzing the water surface profiles on numerous stream
crossing projects, the one-dimensional, steady state models such as HEC 2/
WSPRO are used. Our experts in the field have successfully implemented the
two-dimensional models for meandering streams. AIA uses sophisticated
stochastic analysis for complex hydrological situations in computing peak
discharges for different frequencies. AIA's water resources team offers the
broad perspective and specialized services required for Master Plan
preparation of water supply and sewerage projects. Services also include
flood impact analysis, flood plain studies, and watershed management. The
firm and its staff members have extensive experience in Master Plan
preparation for large metropolitan cities. Our senior staff members have
analyzed complex water transmission and distribution systems, and sewerage
networks. AIA
has expertise in analyzing sanitary sewer networks for infiltration and
inflow. Furthermore,
in order to maintain AIA's corporate commitment to delivering quality
services and completing projects on time and within budget, we develop
special purpose and project specific software programs to supplement the
